A Personal Brony Thank You

 It was almost exactly a year ago. I was just a normal nerd. I was into all the memes, and all the games, yet I still had trouble on the friend scene. People always walked away from me, because I was freaky to them, and I just didn't know how to properly interact with anyone.

Fast forward to October. I saw a commercial for the new installment of the My Little Pony franchise. I commented how the style looked rather nice, but thought nothing of it. I continued to think nothing of it, until my older sister told me to watch it. At first, I scoffed at the idea. I mean, I've grown up; I want a serious and interesting plot line, not colorful images and annoying voices.

It was a few days later. No one was home. I was bored, looking stuff up on YouTube when I saw it. A small, pink, smiling pony. I never imagined that said pony would end up being my most favorite of the ponies. My boredom and curiosity overtook me, and I clicked. It was a quote from the pony, but I was surprised that I actually liked her voice. I went ahead, again out of curiosity, and typed in "My Little Pony Friendship is Magic" in the YouTube search bar. I went ahead and watched the first episode. I found myself angry that it wasn't that good, but somehow...somehow, I found myself entranced. I watched the next episode, and then the next; I watched as many as there were out at the time, and kept it all a secret. Then my sister made me watch an episode with her.

Afterwards, I began looking it up; I opened up to everyone I knew, confessing my status as a Brony. I found that the internet began accepting the Bronies, and finally, I was accepted into a fandom caring enough to understand my social awkwardness. I started changing the Elements of Harmony into words and actions I could use to make friends of my own, and while I'm still a little awkward with it, I'm getting better and better at making friends each day.

As a Brony, I would like to thank Lauren Faust, the one who made this wonderful show, for doing just that. I'd also like to thank my sister for helping me open up, and the Brony community for accepting me. Of all of the things I could thank for this fandom, however, I will have to give my strongest thanks to the pink pony herself, Pinkie Pie, for giving me just enough curiosity to make me click the video, and find the episodes of the show that I love so much. To all who read, and to all who agree, I thank and appreciate you!

ACA Screen Recorder Review

http://www.acasystems.com/

I'm doing a short review of these guy's product, the ACA Screen Recorder.

Now, to start, it records GREAT. Just look at some of my gameplay; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yB64yizumgE . I really love how clean cut the recording is,and how it cuts the unneeded parts of recording out, like the browser window.

The sound also records great, and it records everything playing on the screen. It irks me when a recorder doesn't record the sound; I mean, come on! I want to record what's on the screen, I expect my recorder to record the sound as well.

The FPS settings are awesome. You can tweak them if you want, and depending on the game you play, the FPS works differently, although for the most part, the default FPS is fine.

Just as with every recorder, however, you must be careful with the FPS settings.

While initially, I blamed the poor audio/video mixing in this video on YouTube, it may have been because of the FPS settings I gave it. I'm a pretty big noob with FPS settings, so I may have screwed around with them too much. ^^;

I'll also add that the recorder is perfect for recording Creepypasta games! Personally, I love creepy things, and Creepypastas are all great as games. Turning the lights off and clicking the link to a horror game in the dead of night with the recorder set is the best way to play! I plan to play the Luna Games with the recorder.

That's another thing I'll add; when you start recording, the recorder will close by itself, so you don't record the screen recorder closing! It's awesome!

When you're done recording, it's very convenient; it's already saved the video to the link specified on the first tab of the recorder. It's so cool!

The only flaws I found were my own nitpickings; the "Trial" of the "Trial Version" label at the bottom of the trial version says "Tiral" instead, and you have to record your vocals separately, on another program, like Audacity. But, again, they're my own nitpickings, and they're not too prominent.

I give this product;

This Post was written on December 30th, when my family was busy working on renovation the kitchen. I had little time to myself because I had to help, but I'm free now. I'm going to edit it more soon. *EDIT* Done editing!
