A Personal Brony Thank You

It was almost exactly a year ago. I was just a normal nerd. I was into all the memes, and all the games, yet I still had trouble on the friend scene. People always walked away from me, because I was freaky to them, and I just didn't know how to properly interact with anyone.

Fast forward to October. I saw a commercial for the new installment of the My Little Pony franchise. I commented how the style looked rather nice, but thought nothing of it. I continued to think nothing of it, until my older sister told me to watch it. At first, I scoffed at the idea. I mean, I've grown up; I want a serious and interesting plot line, not colorful images and annoying voices.

It was a few days later. No one was home. I was bored, looking stuff up on YouTube when I saw it. A small, pink, smiling pony. I never imagined that said pony would end up being my most favorite of the ponies. My boredom and curiosity overtook me, and I clicked. It was a quote from the pony, but I was surprised that I actually liked her voice. I went ahead, again out of curiosity, and typed in "My Little Pony Friendship is Magic" in the YouTube search bar. I went ahead and watched the first episode. I found myself angry that it wasn't that good, but somehow...somehow, I found myself entranced. I watched the next episode, and then the next; I watched as many as there were out at the time, and kept it all a secret. Then my sister made me watch an episode with her.

Afterwards, I began looking it up; I opened up to everyone I knew, confessing my status as a Brony. I found that the internet began accepting the Bronies, and finally, I was accepted into a fandom caring enough to understand my social awkwardness. I started changing the Elements of Harmony into words and actions I could use to make friends of my own, and while I'm still a little awkward with it, I'm getting better and better at making friends each day.

As a Brony, I would like to thank Lauren Faust, the one who made this wonderful show, for doing just that. I'd also like to thank my sister for helping me open up, and the Brony community for accepting me. Of all of the things I could thank for this fandom, however, I will have to give my strongest thanks to the pink pony herself, Pinkie Pie, for giving me just enough curiosity to make me click the video, and find the episodes of the show that I love so much. To all who read, and to all who agree, I thank and appreciate you!

ACA Screen Recorder Review

http://www.acasystems.com/

I'm doing a short review of these guy's product, the ACA Screen Recorder.

Now, to start, it records GREAT. Just look at some of my gameplay; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yB64yizumgE . I really love how clean cut the recording is,and how it cuts the unneeded parts of recording out, like the browser window.

The sound also records great, and it records everything playing on the screen. It irks me when a recorder doesn't record the sound; I mean, come on! I want to record what's on the screen, I expect my recorder to record the sound as well.

The FPS settings are awesome. You can tweak them if you want, and depending on the game you play, the FPS works differently, although for the most part, the default FPS is fine.

Just as with every recorder, however, you must be careful with the FPS settings.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sZWrD4aXAjA&feature=related
While initially, I blamed the poor audio/video mixing in this video on YouTube, it may have been because of the FPS settings I gave it. I'm a pretty big noob with FPS settings, so I may have screwed around with them too much. ^^;

I'll also add that the recorder is perfect for recording Creepypasta games! Personally, I love creepy things, and Creepypastas are all great as games. Turning the lights off and clicking the link to a horror game in the dead of night with the recorder set is the best way to play! I plan to play the Luna Games with the recorder.

That's another thing I'll add; when you start recording, the recorder will close by itself, so you don't record the screen recorder closing! It's awesome!

When you're done recording, it's very convenient; it's already saved the video to the link specified on the first tab of the recorder. It's so cool!

The only flaws I found were my own nitpickings; the "Trial" of the "Trial Version" label at the bottom of the trial version says "Tiral" instead, and you have to record your vocals separately, on another program, like Audacity. But, again, they're my own nitpickings, and they're not too prominent.

I give this product;

This Post was written on December 30th, when my family was busy working on renovation the kitchen. I had little time to myself because I had to help, but I'm free now. I'm going to edit it more soon. *EDIT* Done editing!

More Game Character Overviews

This time, I'm writing on my favourite characters from my favourite generation in my favourite game series, (too many favourites. XDD ) Pokemon~! The generation is the second one...That's right! I'm gonna be talking about the Johto games!
I'm gonna list my 10 favourite characters from the Johto games.

10 : Ethan/Hibiki/Gold

Ah, Ethan. The Male player character from Gold, Silver, Crystal, HeartGold & SoulSilver, he's what I call a Generic Dork. This is especially shown in HGSS, when you play as Lyra/Kotone/Soul, and he is you so-called friend. He's dorkie, and cheerful. And when he's the friend, he owns a Marill. lols~ (So manly. XDD ) Personally, I refer to him as Gold.

9 : Lyra/Kotone/Soul

Much like Gold, Soul is a Generic Dork. She's basically the female version of Gold. Sadly, she replaced Kris in HGSS. For me, graphics are not important, and I play Crystal much more than HGSS, but Soul is still a fun character, like many in the Pokemon characters.

8 : Karen/Karin

OH GOD THIS LADY. She is so awesome. I like her personality in the games, but her Pokemon Adventures/ PokeSpecial personality is pretty loveable too. She's an awesome character, and she damn worthy of her status as 4th Elite Four member of Johto.

7 : Will/Itsuki

I have NO idea why this character is so much fun. He just is. Maybe it's his attitude in PokeSpe. He's like a playful puppy there. It's cute to see him like that, even if he did get pretty evil at points.

6 : Koga/Kyo

This guy's always been awesome. Plus, he's a ninja. All we need now is an Elite Four member that's an official Pirate and we can make a Ninja Vs. Pirate animation with Koga and the pirate. XDD This guy's tonnes of fun, too. I like Janine, too, but Koga takes the cake for ninjas in Pokemon.

5 : Lance/Wataru

As if I even need to talk about this guy. He's made of pure awesomness. NEXT! XDD

4 : Green Oak / Green Okido

BITCHES, HIS NAME IS GREEN, DAMMIT! XDD Now, technically, Green's from the first Generation, but he's featured in Gen.2, just like Koga. Plus, GARY MOTHERFUCKIN' OAK. XDD

3 : Kris

As the first of the female player characters, She's just too awesome. Kris is my ultimate-favourite player character. All Kris fans should know just how awesome she is~ I love her in PokeSpe, but her Anime counterpart, Marina, is an annoying girly-girl. That sucks, because Kris's so awesome, and Marina just ended up being an annoying dumbass in distress.

2 : Morty/Matsuba

I LOVE THIS GUY TO BITS. I'm sure this guy smokes weed or something. He's so mellow when he's just neutral or happy, I'm certain. Am I the only one imagining him, Soul, Kris & Eusine all sitting down, sharing a joint, having a deep conversation on how balloons float? XDD One thing that irks me, though, is his HGSS design. I prefer his GSC design, because it goes better with his character, but the HGSS redesign makes him look like one of those sparkly bishies.

1 : Eusine/Eugene/Minaki

dmjasfhashfhaofhuhfuihaofhuo EUSINE. I LOVE HIM. I'm a big Crystalshipper, too, so KrisXEusine always makes me happy~ Of course, I LOVE Sacredshipping, too. BWAAHAHAHAHAHA. XDD Anyways, I love this guy, and I wish he would've been in more of the Pokemon games, same with Kris. I'm pretty sure I've got a bit of a cape fetish, too, same with purple suits, so I'm certain that's the main reason why I love this guy so much.

I'm certain I'll be making more lists of favoured characters from my different fandoms. I might list my favourite monsters featured in Godzilla next.

Rune Factory 2

Well, since I've left this thing blank for the longest time and I just started school yesterday...I'll talk about Rune Factory 2. Rune Factory 3's nice and all, and Rune Factory is cool too; Rune Factory Frontier is a neat little upgrade to the first game, and Rune Factory Oceans and Rune Factory 4 look real cool, and I can't wait to play them. However nice these new ones are, however, my favourite one is always the second game, Rune Factory 2. It's what brought me to the franchise. So I'm gonna make this list of the main bachlorettes and future husbands and what I think of them. I'm writing about the characters ONLY, because the rest is just basically controls, areas, items, the townspeople and monsters, like the rest of the Rune Factory series. This list will NOT include the Generation 2 characters, but I may mention them.

Main Player Character: Kyle
Kyle...he's an ok player character. Not quite as hero-centered as Raguna (he doesn't really do anything except farm and hit on the girls) , but not as girly-looking as Micah, so he's a balance between the two characters before and after him. Overall, he doesn't do much, his kids do more work monster-wise, but he's a good-looking guy and he's pretty friendly to the townspeople, so he's an ok player character.
Mana
Mana is...so-so. She's cute, and her voice actresses are great, but the way Natsume made her as a ditzy girl, so I'm confused as to why she's a teacher in the second generation, but I digress. She's nice, and a cute girl, but she's not much of a Rune Factory bachelorette.

Cecilia
It's nice to see Ceci return from her role in Rune Factory 1, but like Mana, as much as I like her design and voice actresses, she's not the best of the bachelorettes, and she's so-so. Not much to say except...Ceci is still adorable.

Alicia
Alicia is SO F- ok. Let me calm down. Now, Alicia is my LEAST favourite of the girls. She's just...annoying, plus her outfit is just so fanservice! To top it off, her voice actresses are so different! Her Japanese VA makes her sound cute and innocent, but her English one goes better with her design; she sounds so much older than the others. She's not a very good bachelorette.

Yue
Yue is probably my second favourite bachelorette in the game. She's cute, her voices are great, she's memorable, and plus, she comes back in Rune Factory 3~ I shouldn't even HAVE to explain why; everyone who's played Rune Factory 2 should know just how lovable she is. The only thing I can say is that if you haven't seen gameplay of Yue's events and dialogue on youtube or played the game, you have to see them to understand.

Dorothy
NYAWWW. That is all I can say about her. She's just...so...CUTE! She's really shy and blushes alot. When you first meet her, the first thing she says is "M-my name is...G-goobye!" and she tries to leave. She's so cute. She's my third favourite bachellorette of the bachellorettes. Eventually you teach her to stop being so shy, if you make your character go for her.

Julia
I always make my character marry Julia when I play Rune Factory 2 again. She's a tsundere. If you don't know what a tsundere is, this is the explaination of both types; a DereDere someone who is usually nice and friendly, but acts angry and hate-filled towards those that they love. A TsunTsun is the opposite, usually angry but nice to the ones they love. Julia is a DereDere type, usually nice but angry towards anyone she loves. That's why she's my favourite, she's so Tsundere. I have a soft spot for Tsunderes.

Rosalind de Sainte-Coquille

Rosalind is nice. I like her. She's ok compaired to most of the other bachellorettes. Not much else to say.

Jake
Meh, this guy is ok. Of all the elven men in Rune Factory, he's probably my favourite, but MAN, he can get annoying. He keeps hating your character because he's human, even though he's a half-elf, and his english voice...URGH. Anyone who's played it knows how ANNOYING his nasally little voice is. Overall, he's ok, but he gets annoying.

Barrett
For some reason, Barrett seems to be one of the more favoured of the Rune Factory 2 men in the female part of the fanbase. I dunno, does he look nice? Well, he's a tsundere. Usually, I like Tsunderes, but Barrett is just SO Tsundere, it gets annoying, atleast to me. He's a TsunTsun type, which aren't really my favourite.

Max de Sainte-Coquille
At first, I hated this guy. The thought of a rich guy in anime is always really annoying to me. I never imagined I'd like this character, let alone love, but of all the guys in Rune Factory 2, he's my favourite. I just love him. He's so wierd and awesome~ Of the de Saite-Coquille family, he's my favourite, too. His sister Rosalind is kind and all, and it's nice that she's single for your player character, but I wish you could play as a girl in Rune Factory 2. This is the character that made me wish I could play as a girl. He's incredibly nice and loves his sister alot, which I just love. Plus an item he likes is really easy to get. XDD By the way, am I the only one who thinks Leonel should have been Max's son, or atleast looks like it? I mean, look.

Ok. Do you not see it? If you don't, tell me WHY?! PLEASE?! /smacks self/ I love Leonel & Max, they're just too awesome.

Ray

This guy was meant to be a girl. It shows. He's a very bland character. That's all I can really say.
Well...that's all I'm gonna talk about right now. I might edit this later.

New doodles & Remixes soon

So, soon, I'll be posting up a few remixes I've made over the last few days after my Mixcraft demo expired. Some of them are craptastical, some are ok. Most are craptastical. I'm still going to make remixes with FL Studio 9, but it won't sound as good as the mixcraft ones, I know that much.

I'm also gonna make some new doodles, most of them of a series I've been workign on recently, "Capture the World." So, expect those.
